James H. Thomson, Esq. has represented real estate clients since being sworn in as an attorney in 2007. In that capacity, he has handled thousands of transactions for hundreds of corporate entities and individual clients.
Every day, Mr. Thomson handles matters including commercial real estate sales, purchases, and leases; commercial landlord-tenant matters; residential sales and purchases; leasing for residential building owners; and filing ICAP tax abatement applications. Services are offered in both New York and New Jersey.
Mr. Thomson studied law at the University of St. John’s, Queens Campus, as a recipient of the St. Thomas More Scholarship. During his time as a law student, Mr. Thomson interned at the Richmond County District Attorney’s Office under D.A. Daniel Donovan, and in the New York State Supreme Court under Justice Philip Minardo.
Mr. Thomson pursued his undergraduate studies at the State University of New York at Albany where he was awarded a Bachelor’s Degree from the University’s Business School. During that time, Mr. Thomson worked as a land records searcher for several title insurance companies, developing experience that applies to the real estate title elements of his services today.
